Specs For 16 Core/32 Thread Ryzen 3000 CPU Leaked
AMD’s Lisa Su will be giving the opening keynote at Computex 2019, where the company is expected to reveal their next gen Ryzen 3000 processors. These will be based on the 7nm Zen 2 architecture. As we approach the announcement, it’s only normal to expect some leaks about the upcoming CPUs, and the situation doesn’t look disappointing.
Prominent leaker TUM_APISAK has posted the specs of what we think is the flagship Ryzen 9 3800 (or 3800X), with 16 cores and 32 threads. According to the Twitter post, the processor will have a base clock of 3.2 GHz and will boost up to 4.2 GHz. This mostly confirms that there will be a consumer grade Ryzen processor with 16 cores, even though the exact specs might be a little lower or higher.
The rumour also lists the X570 chipset for motherboards, although brands like MSI have already confirmed that they will be releasing BIOS updates to support the Ryzen 3000 processors on the current 300 and 400 series motherboard. It’s always advisable to take all the rumours. . .not too seriously, but TUM_APISAK also mentions that he might be sharing an image of the CPU soon, so there’s more exciting stuff on the way!
