New AMD drivers will offer more more FPS in AC: Odyssey, Improved support for Apex Legends, Division II
AMD rolled out new ‘Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.1 driver’ today. What seems to be a reply to Nvidia’s new RTX DLSS optimisation, the new AMD driver offers improved support and performance in several games.
The new driver’s main focus is EA’s “PUBG/Fortnite killer” Apex Legends, which is a ‘free-to-play’ battle royale developed by the same studio that developed Titanfall.
The patch notes report that AMD has improved support for this new game.
Another title getting ‘more support’ is Tom Clancy’s: The Division II which is being bundled as a free game on purchase of any eligible GPU or CPU from AMD.
Moreover, as a fairly interesting improvement, AMD claims a 5 percent more FPS in AC: Odyssey on Vega 64.
The update has also improved compatibility with Battlefield V and fixed several bugs that Anthem players were reportedly facing. Other than this, there are numerous minor bugs that were smashed. Find the complete patch notes here.
