Hyper X Cloud Stinger Core 7.1(PC) Review – great headphones priced perfectly

HyperX is known for its quality gaming peripherals and the latest addition in their headphone range carries forward this legacy. 

In this article, we’ll be reviewing the HyperX Cloud Stinger Core PC Wireless 7.1 headphones. 

Right off the bat, the first thing you’ll notice is how light this headset is, weighing at 244g these headphones are specifically designed keeping in mind those long gaming sessions. With an adjustable steel slider, you can adjust the headphones according to your convenience and comfort. The padded earcups also add to the comfort.

Coming to performance, the HyperX Cloud Stinger Core PC Wireless 7.1 headset is the perfect fit for those who haven’t tried gaming headsets before as it has a very balanced sound which means that its good for different scenarios which include gaming, listening to music, watching a movie or attending Zoom calls.

The headset offers virtual 7.1 surround sound using HyperX’s NGENUITY software along with 40mm drivers deliver good quality sound which is bold so you can hear every footstep and every shot with pinpoint accuracy.

The noise-canceling mic is of surprisingly good quality. The mic arm is not removable but the swivel to mute mechanism comes in handy. The on-board controls are pretty straightforward with a power button and a dial that looks after both your mic volume and audio volume which means that you can’t control the mic volume and audio volume separately.

The headphones connect to your PC with the aid of the included USB receiver.

The headphones do not have a 3.5mm headphone jack or a 3.5mm audio cable but the gaming-grade wireless performance more than makes up for it as it delivers unparalleled sound quality within this price range. 

HyperX has also said that there will also be a Wired version of the headset releasing very soon.

The HyperX Cloud Stinger Core Wireless 7.1 is the best bang for your buck headphone in the market right now and yes there are better headsets but they are also significantly more expensive. It’s designed keeping in mind the varying needs of a PC user with an emphasis on gaming performance and durability.
