Henry Cavill: The Perfect Geralt of Rivia

Henry Cavill: The Perfect Geralt of Rivia

The Netflix Witcher series had everyone curious regarding the casting of the main man, Geralt of Rivia and now we know. It’s none other than the Man of Steel, Henry Cavill. While most fans like this appointment some are still not convinced with his appointment so let’s see why we feel he’s quite frankly, one of the best actor’s to play The Butcher of Blaviken.

Henry Cavill is quite famous for playing Superman and Clark Kent, he’s also quite a suave guy as seen in The Man from U.N.C.L.E, however, there’s one thing that makes him the best fit to play Geralt of Rivia. Besides him physically being able enough to play Geralt, Henry is a huge fan of the Witcher series and is someone who loves video games. You know you’re into gaming when you miss a phone call from Zack Snyder because you were in a World of Warcraft raid. The call he missed was the one to let him know that he got the role of Superman.

Enough of that though, Henry has stated before that he’s played through The Witcher 3 not once but twice because of how much he loved the game. That’s about 200-300 hours of gameplay right there. He’s also a huge fan of the Andrzej Sapkowski novels that are the basis on which the games and show are made. A man this passionate is bound to give his best and even the voice actor for Geralt from the Witcher games acknowledges this. When the showrunner, Lauren Hissrich herself thinks you’re perfect for the part, what more does one need? A passionate group of people seems to be at the helm of the show and we’re very excited to see how it shapes up. Because of Cavill signing on we can only hope that they get Eva Green to play Yennefer of Vengerberg. Who are your picks for Geralt, Yen, and Trish? Let us know down below.
