GTX 1660 now available in India, Specs and Pricing
Falling in line with our prior leaks, Nvidia has finally launched GTX 1660. The second card in the list of Nvidia’s 16 series cards, GTX 1660 is based on Turing architecture.
Nvidia claims GTX 1660 to be 35 percent faster than the GTX 1060 6 GB. When compared to the older GTX 960, the new card is about 130 per cent faster. The card comes with 6 GB of GDDR5 memory, packs in 1408 CUDA cores with a boost clock of 1785 MHz.
The card is based on the same TU116 GPU, that the GTX 1660 Ti is based upon. This implies that the GPU would probably enjoy all the features will come to the GTX 1660 Ti. Nvidia has a very well written article about GTX 1660 Ti’s ‘capabilities’, find it here.
Nvidia recommends a 450W power supply, which seems fair enough considering card’s own requirement of 120 W. There is no Founders’ Edition of the card, so you have to consider an add-in card provider.
Anyway, you’ll get a plenty of options to choose from including Asus, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Inno3D, MSI, Palit and Zotac. The GTX 1660 starts at Rs. 21,500, but pricing can vary depending on features, design and sometimes, region.
In case you made it to the end, here’s a gift for you.
MD Computers somehow lists Inno3D GTX 1660 for Rs. 21,100 at the time of writing. So, grab one before stocks run out.
