Fortnite Android: How to Download and Install it

Fortnite on Android is not exclusive anymore to Samsung Devices but that hasn’t changed the fact that downloading and installing the game is a bit of a hassle since it isn’t available on the Google Playstore. Here’s a small guide to help you to download and play Fortnite on your non-Samsung Android Device. If you have a Samsung Phone, you can skip these steps and download it straight from the Samsung Galaxy App Store.

  1. Go to Fortnite’s sign-up page and sign up for an email invite for the beta. Check if your phone is compatible in the compatibility list that is linked on that site. You will also be asked if you have played Fortnite on any other platform and will have to provide your login credentials to verify it. If you haven’t, just create a new account.
  2. Select your Device from the list and download the APK file from the link provided to you in the email. To install the app you will have to go into your settings and will have to allow installation from unknown sources. This is known as sideloading. You can google how to enable that option for your specific device.
  3. Wait for your account to get officially approved for the Beta after which you should be able to play Fortnite on your Android Device.

That’s all the steps required to download it and install it. Performance may vary from phone to phone as the game is still in Beta so keep that in mind. Also, if you’re worried about security, you can disable the “allow install from unknown sources” option after installing the game. Good luck and have fun playing Fortnite on your Android device.
