Doom Eternal Gameplay Trailer: More Gore, More Demons, More Fun
Doom Eternal was announced at E3 this year and finally, during Quake Con we got a glimpse of the game. The DoomGuy is back and he’s angrier than ever before. Now that the demons have invaded Earth, Doom Guy’s rage and hatred for the demons has grown even more. With an upgraded arsenal, he now he new ways of Ripping and Tearing demons and I must say, it left every Doom fan with a gigantic grin on their face.
Doom Eternal features quite a huge variety of settings as shown from the gameplay including a version of Earth that has been invaded by Demons and Phobos, the moon of Mars. Phobos alos has actual human beings who are awestruck and frozen in fear as they see the Doom Slayer walk amidst them. The trailer showcases a new grappling hook feature that is attached to the Super Shotgun allowing you to grapple yourself to enemies before shooting them in the face along with the ability to Dash. These two new mechanics will really help with the verticality of the game which was the something the previous game lacked as well as quick dodges. There’s also an invasion system which is an optional feature where actual players can invade your session as Remnants. The trailer ends as an Arch-Vile appears and starts to channel his Hellfire attack as the Doom Slayer seems to whip out a sword that resembles to be The Crucible.
No release date was announced but we can expect the game to maybe come out during Fall of next year. The game will release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
